The Vice Chancellor of Karl Kumm University, Vom, Nigeria, Prof Nanven Audu Gambo, has congratulated Grace Akwe Gotip of the Nigeria Television Authority, Jos Network Center, for emerging as the newly elected Chairman of the Nigerian Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Plateau State Chapter.
In a statement signed by the Protocol and Information Officer to the Vice Chancellor, Bulus Gambo quoted Prof Gambo, urging the newly elected chairman to use her wealth of experience to build on the legacies of her predecessors.
He noted that over the years, NAWOJ has been widely known for its doggedness over the fight against sexual and gender violence and the quest to create equal opportunities for all vulnerable individuals irrespective of tribe, religion, and or social status, which has significantly created a platform for national integration and nation building.
He also appreciated the members of the association for the peaceful conduct of the elections, which is a lesson for all stakeholders in the National democratic project.
Prof Nanven Audu Gambo also used the opportunity to thank all journalists in the state for being strategic partners in expanding the frontiers of development of the University by publicizing its activities in the past few years. He then wished the chairman and her executive members a successful tenure of office characterized by numerous achievements.
